Emergency Pediatric Care

(Approximately 8 Hours) 

EPC stresses critical thinking and hands on scenarios that focus on the care of sick and injured children. This course provides a full spectrum of emergency illnesses and an in-depth understanding of pathophysiology on the most common pediatric emergency medical issues.   

Topics include: understanding kids, airway, breathing and oxygenation, cardiac emergencies, child abuse and neglect, common medical emergencies, the importance of family, hypoperfusion and shock, newborn resuscitation, pediatric trauma, and special health care needs.

Tactical Combat Casualty Care

(Approximately 16 Hours) 

TCCC bases their training off battlefield experiences, showing the best life-saving techniques and strategies providing the trauma care. The three basic functions of this course through critical thinking scenarios and hands on training are treating the patient by recognizing the life threatening injuries, preventing additional casualties and completing the mission.

Prehospital Trauma Life Support

(Approximately 16 Hours) 

PHTLS is designed to improve the quality of trauma care, untimely decreasing mortality.  The training is based off critical thinking and hands on scenarios in prehosital trauma.  How to care and to react to a high stressful situation is critical.  This course approached trauma and teaches you an approach that varies from traditional treatment modalities.  Class taught using military and non-military curriculum.

Advanced Medical Life Support

(Approximately 16 Hours) 

AMLS introduces how to access and manage common medical crisis requiring critical thinking methodology.  The course uses interactive real life scenarios and group interaction to review and analysis patient history and physical exam to conclude the best determined diagnostic and treatment for a patient. 

The interactive/case based lectures include the following topics: altered mental status and neurologic disorders, respiratory dysfunction, shock, chest discomfort, endocrine, metabolic and environmental disorders, abdominal discomfort, Infectious disease, and toxicologic emergencies, hazardous materials and weapons of mass destruction.
